About Carji

Most US car sites make you trade your phone number for a price, then pass that number to several dealers at once. We think that is backwards. Here you can see prices, specs and local dealers without an account, and you decide if and when a dealer hears from you.

Where the numbers come from

Vehicle specifications, trim and build pricing, options and equipment lists are manufacturer-published data for the US market, recorded per build as published at launch. Recall campaigns and crash-test ratings come from NHTSA. Dealer and gas station locations come from Overture Maps, EV chargers from the U.S. DOE Alternative Fuels Data Center, and ZIP and city data from SimpleMaps under CC BY 4.0. Vehicle tax rates are drafted from published rate tables and stay marked unverified until a human has checked them against the taxing authority.

What we do not know

We would rather show a gap than invent a number. No free public source publishes manufacturer prices, official photography or marketing trim names, so we do not show them. Every price estimate lists exactly what it had to assume — read that list; it is the honest part.
