About Carji

Most US car sites make you trade your phone number for a price, then pass that number to several dealers at once. We think that is backwards. Here you can see prices, specs and local dealers without an account, and you decide if and when a dealer hears from you.

How we are paid

By dealers, for their listings and placement — never by selling what you do here. If you ask us to pass your details to one dealer, they go to that dealer and nobody else, and we delete them on a schedule.

Where the numbers come from

Fuel economy and vehicle specifications come from the U.S. EPA (fueleconomy.gov). Location data comes from SimpleMaps under CC BY 4.0. Vehicle tax rates are drafted from published rate tables and stay marked unverified until a human has checked them against the taxing authority.

What we do not know

We would rather show a gap than invent a number. No free public source publishes manufacturer prices, official photography or marketing trim names, so we do not show them. Every price estimate lists exactly what it had to assume — read that list; it is the honest part.
