Advertising, and how to opt out

The site is paid for by ads from Google AdSense. Google may use cookies and similar identifiers to personalise those ads based on your activity on this and other sites, under Google's advertising policies. US state privacy laws call this "sharing" personal information for cross-context behavioural advertising. We do not sell your information for money.

You can opt out in one click on our Do Not Sell or Share page, and we honour the Global Privacy Control signal automatically. Either way you still see ads, but they are not personalised.

Browsing needs no account

Prices, specifications and dealer details are visible without signing up. The out-the-door calculator runs on our own server and stores nothing you type into it — not your ZIP code, not the price you were quoted, not your trade-in.

Cookies and tracking

Google AdSense sets advertising cookies, as described above; we set none of our own. Your compare shortlist is kept in your own browser's storage and never sent to us. Our servers keep ordinary access logs (IP address, page requested, browser) for security and debugging, and discard them on a schedule.

We use Google Analytics to count visits and see which pages are read. It sets a _ga cookie to tell one visit from the next and sends Google the page you viewed, your browser type and a truncated IP address, under Google's privacy policy. We do not use Analytics for advertising and do not connect it to anything you type into the site. You can block it with Google's opt-out add-on or any content blocker, and the site works exactly the same without it.

If you contact a dealer

Only if you explicitly ask. Your name, email or phone, and message go to the one dealer you chose. We record which consent wording you saw and when, and the record is deleted on a schedule. It is never passed to a second dealer or to a data broker.

Your rights

Wherever you live, you can ask what we hold about you, have it corrected or deleted, and we will not treat you differently for asking. Email [email protected] and we will reply within 30 days. California residents: see Do Not Sell or Share.

Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If this notice changes, the date at the top changes with it.
